Belgrave Hall in Leicester was constructed in 1709 for Edmund Cradock, a hosiery merchant. It was given to the Council in 1936 and opened as a museum. Alfred Godwin Geeson (1898-1955) trained as an architect at the City of Leicester School of Arts and Crafts between 1919 and 1924. He later became a teacher of building and architecture, becoming Head of the Department of Building at City College and Art School, Norwich. He was a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Ar...
